Front-End Developer

Job Description

UTA is seeking an experienced Front-End Developer responsible for developing, designing, and maintaining web applications using the latest front-end technologies. You will collaborate with multiple teams across the company to create innovative, user-friendly web applications focused on continuous testing, mobile experiences, and cloud technologies.

The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $150,000 commensurate with experience and skills.

What You Will Do

Development & Design
• Develop new user-facing features using React.js/Next.js and Material UI to create responsive and efficient web applications optimized for both web and mobile.
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use, ensuring consistent design and streamlined development.
• Collaborate with design, product and development teams to implement and maintain website design, ensuring technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
Optimization & Integration
• Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring the best possible user experience.
• Work with back-end developers to integrate APIs and web services, utilizing RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs as well as other relevant technologies to build robust front-end applications.

Testing & Continuous Improvement
• Perform continuous testing using tools such as Storybook, Cypress, and Jest to ensure high-quality code and efficient testing practices.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in web development, focusing on mobile experiences, cloud technologies, and best practices.

What You Will Need
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of professional experience in React.js, Next.js, and Typescript with a deep understanding of front-end development best practices.
• Strong knowledge of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Experience with mobile development, emphasizing responsive design and optimization.
• Strong familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with APIs, ensuring seamless communication between front-end and back-end systems.
• Proficiency in tools like Storybook, Cypress, and Jest for high-quality code testing and validation.
• Experience with Netlify and cloud platforms, such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git for efficient collaboration and workflows.
• Experience with GraphQL for building efficient and flexible APIs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure high-quality code and efficient troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working closely with designers, developers, and stakeholders to build innovative and effective web applications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing workloads effectively and meeting project goals.
