Job Description
As a Safety & Security Specialist (Physical Security, Labor & Fire Safety), you will be part of the Studio Operations team responsible for the safety, security and compliance of our work environment in Kyiv and Odesa. With your expertise on ''fire & labor safety'', you will ensure a safe and compliant work environment in every building. In this role, you will be appointed and responsible for the Labor & Fire Safety orders signed by our Director.
You will report to our Workplace Manager based in Kyiv. You are physically based in Kyiv and possible business trips are expected to visit our Studio in Odesa, when needed.
Qualifications
Labor & Fire Safety
• Developing all Labor & Fire Safety orders (and appointed with Director for all HSE matters)
• Organization of the company's activities on labor protection (LP) and fire safety (FS), including review of the existing activities and determination of measures for their improvement.
• Control over compliance with the requirements of legislation, rules, norms, regulations, instructions on LP and FS.
• Control over employees' compliance with the rules of handling equipment, other means, in accordance with the LP and FS requirements.
• Control over the condition of employees' workplaces and their compliance with the LP and FS requirements.
• Organization and control over staff training in HSE like preliminary and periodic medical examinations.
• Work with inspecting state bodies (inspections).
• Handling of internal audits and action plans
• Participation in the development of SOP's and other safety & security-related documents, plans, instructions, and policies.
• Training and briefings of employees to react in case of emergency situations.
Physical Security
• Management of security guards (instructions. schedule, handover, emergency calls, reports)
• Management of video surveillance systems
• Management of access control systems
• Maintenance: ensuring proper operations of physical security equipment (handling maintenance calls as needed)
• Visitor management, special visits, special events, etc.
Requirements
• Several years of experience in a similar or comparable Labor & Fire Safety/HSE role (at least 3 years)
• Proficient knowledge of the Law ''On labor protection'', the Code of Civil Protection of Ukraine, resolutions, orders, rules, standards, norms, regulations and other documents on labor protection and fire safety
• Successful experience of inspections by regulatory authorities
• Knowledge and experience in applying the system of labor and fire safety standards
• Knowledge of current legislation in the field of labor law, labor protection and fire safety
• Experience in organizing document management in labor protection and fire safety
• Experience in working in the state fire supervision or fire safety services will be a plus
• Excellent critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills
• High integrity, compliance, and quality standards
