Freelance Editor - Theatrical/AV

The Freelance Editor works on major Theatrical/AV campaigns. This Editor can tell a compelling story with little to no copy. This Editor also possesses great music sensibility and passion to produce great work.
IMPORTANT ABOUT THIS ROLE
• This is a freelance opportunity for 2+ weeks work
• Trailer Park Group pays Freelance talent via W2 payroll
• We are looking for an ASAP start date - the week of 10/7
• This is a hybrid role, so only those within commutable distance to our Hollywood, CA office will be considered
• Only those candidates with Theatrical editing experience will be considered
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Edit and create trailers, theatrical campaigns, digital spots, special content, and in-house reels for AV projects.
• Act as a creative voice in the creation of marketing materials for Theatrical and Streaming releases.
• Work very closely with Senior Producers and Creative Directors on all creative campaigns.
• Attend debrief meetings with clients or producers to review content.
• Stay in close communication with the Creative Producer to manage deadlines and edit all campaigns according to client notes.
• Work with Post Production to troubleshoot technical issues as required.
• Create content that meets all deadlines and satisfies the client's creative direction.
• Use professional digital editing software and equipment, such as Adobe Premiere Pro to insert music, narration, dialogue, and sound effects into a video.
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and the industry's best practices to maximize efficiency.
ABOUT YOU
• 5+ Years of professional Theatrical/AV editorial experience with an emphasis on trailers, tv spots, promos, and sizzle reels
• Extensive knowledge of Premiere
• Ability to create content under tight deadlines that meet client creative and delivery demands
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects at the same time, while creating high-caliber creative content
• Creative mind and storytelling abilities
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet multiple deadlines
• Takes direction and executes accordingly
• Communicates clear direction to members of the team
• Level-headed, calm, and functions well under stress
• Must be able to communicate at various levels, appropriate to the audience
• Must be an exceptional problem solver

COMPENSATION:
Please note that the below range is payable via day rate (not hourly). Also note that all freelance work is paid via W2 payroll at Trailer Park Group.
Daily rate pay range for this position is below. If your requirements fall outside of the below pay range, we still encourage you to apply.
$700 - $800 USD
