The Role:

The Operations Assistant works closely with the Event Manager to ensure operations run smoothly on show days. They will be responsible for answering employee questions, helping new hires on their first day, sharing show day information with staff, and more.

Job Functions:
• Man the operations office during a show day in order to be a resource for employees.
• Assist new employees with clocking in, getting uniforms, and direct them to their positions.
• Monitor shipments that come in and direct them to the correct location.
• Oversee the issuing of all venue credentials for any new hires or guests on a show day.
• Ensure record keeping and proper filling of Pre-Event Inspection Reports, Event Related Incident Reports, Workman Comp/General Liability Claims.
• Complete inventory of all operations equipment including uniforms, radios, etc.
• Create, manage, and distribute day of show information sheet for staff.
• Assist with show day prep on turnovers.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Event and Operations Managers.

Qualifications:
• 1 years' plus of administrative experience.
• 2-3 years' plus of work experience in a comparable role.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Great attention to detail and ability to work against deadlines.
• Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy.
• Position requires sitting, typing, walking and occasionally lifting 25 lbs. plus using proper lifting techniques.
