Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW

The Coordinator, Development is charged with managing a portfolio of current and prospective individual donors, supporting and implementing individual giving strategies, and supporting the Individual Giving team’s broad scope of donor communications.

Working closely under the Manager, Major Gifts and with the Assistant Director of Individual Giving, this position supports Sundance Institute’s commitment to attracting, retaining, and engaging mission and values-aligned donors to support our work through financial contributions and other methods.

This full-time position is based out of our Park City, Utah office in order to work onsite in a hybrid capacity throughout the year. Extended hours, including evenings and weekends will be required at key points. Occasional travel to other Institute offices and events will also be required.

Top priorities include but are not limited to…
• Managing a portfolio of over 75 current and prospective individual donors to Sundance Institute.
• Collaborating with Development team members and other colleagues across the Institute to support department operations and special projects.
• Supporting active and prospective donors with their plans to attend the annual Sundance Film Festival.
• Meeting with individual donors and prospects to solicit, cultivate, steward, and ascertain their capacity to support Sundance throughout the year and at the Sundance Film Festival and other Artist Program events.
• Soliciting renewals and increased contributions from active individual donors.
• Partnering with Manager, Advancement Operations to research and qualify prospective donors, review donor crediting, review and send acknowledgement letters, and prepare donor invitation lists for special events.
• Supporting with donor inquiries by monitoring multiple donor support email inboxes working alongside program and development colleagues to ensure timely responses to inquiries.
• Supporting the Annual Giving team with incoming and outgoing donor communications, including during high volume seasons such as the lead up to and during the Sundance Film Festival.
• Maintaining, updating, and tracking donor records and projections in the customer relationship management (CRM) database to ensure accurate and timely revenue projections.
• Representing Sundance Institute and the Development team at Institute events.
• Supporting Festival and year-round department volunteers by providing training and guidance.

You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• 2 years of direct fundraising or customer support experience, preferably within an arts nonprofit organization.
• Excellent customer support skills.
• Ability to initiate and cultivate strong relationships that are beneficial to all parties.
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience with prospect research and customer relationship management databases preferred.

*Final rate of pay is determined based on the applicant's geographic location, relevant experience and skills, and internal equity among similar positions within our organization.
