This Spring Trainee position is from January through May 30th (start and end dates are flexible based on your schedule) and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location. This type of opportunity will jump-start your career and prepare you for a career in the desired field. This is not a remote role. A hybrid work option may or may not be available.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
The Transactional Sales team delivers world-class, high-performing commercial sales planning and supply chain management solutions. The team ensures timely and accurate data delivery with end-to-end visibility of SKUs and assets, supporting both physical and digital transactional business stakeholders. We are committed to empowering strategic and operational decision-making across the business through robust data management, documentation, and efficient knowledge sharing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Support the collection, processing, and analysis of data related to SKUs and assets, with a focus on improving documentation accuracy and knowledge sharing.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with teams to gather documentation requirements and maintain user-focused knowledge base materials.
• Support Process Improvement: Identify and address documentation gaps to enhance transparency and efficiency.
• Participate in Project Management: Support project management activities related to knowledge base development, including task tracking, timeline management, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
• Create Visual Presentations: Develop clear visual representations of complex topics, such as stakeholder interdependencies, system integrations, and workflows, using power point presentations, diagrams, charts, and other tools.
DELIVERABLES:
• Curate and Update Business Analysis Artifacts: Curate and update artifacts in support of standardizing business analysis processes, deliverables, and best practices. This includes process flow documentation and utilizing AI to support business analysis activities, streamlining efficiency, and improving the quality of deliverables.
• Document ''As-Is'' State of Applications: Assist in documenting the ''As-Is'' state of applications used within the Transactional Sales team, capturing workflows, system functionalities, and integration points.
• Create and Maintain Centralized Knowledge Base: Build and update application-specific knowledge base websites, ensuring documentation is centralized, easily accessible, and regularly updated for internal and external stakeholders.
• Visual Presentations: Create clear and concise visual representations of complex topics such as system integration diagrams, cross-functional flowchart, and process flow diagrams to facilitate understanding and support informed decision-making.
• Curate ''How-To'' Guides: Develop, refine, and curate comprehensive step-by-step guides for different user scenarios, ensuring clarity and ease of use for various business applications.
• Write User Stories: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document clear, detailed user stories that capture functional and non-functional requirements for development teams.
• Write Test Cases for Automated Testing: Design and write test cases that can be used for automated testing in Playwright, ensuring the quality and reliability of the applications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating with various stakeholders including developers, product managers, business users, and external partners. Ability to listen, ask the right questions, and ensure that input from multiple sources is synthesized into clear and actionable documentation. Strong interpersonal skills for facilitating discussions and gathering feedback to improve processes.
• Documentation Skills: Proficient in documenting processes, workflows, and system functionality clearly and efficiently.
• Visualization Skills: Demonstrated ability to create clear and effective visual presentations (e.g., diagrams, charts, flowcharts) that simplify complex concepts such as system integrations, workflows, stakeholder interdependencies, and strategic decisions.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with website management tools, content management systems, or knowledge base software.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze application workflows and translate them into accurate, user-friendly documentation.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written communication skills for creating guides, user manuals, and technical documentation.
• Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all documentation efforts.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Technical Writing
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience in Technical Writing or Documentation: Prior experience in documenting business processes, creating how-to guides, or maintaining knowledge base systems.
• Familiarity with Knowledge Management Tools: Exposure to tools such as JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, or other knowledge base and documentation platforms.
• Understanding of Sales or Supply Chain Systems: Knowledge of sales planning, supply chain, or ERP systems, with experience in documenting their usage.
• Internship Experience: Previous internship or project experience related to business analysis, documentation, or knowledge management.
• Experience with Visual Tools: Proficiency with visualization tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or similar platforms for creating data flow diagrams, process maps, or decision trees.
• Generative AI Tools: Familiarity with generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GPT-based tools) for enhancing documentation efficiency, creating content, or automating repetitive documentation tasks.
The anticipated base salary for this position is $27/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
