This Spring Trainee position is from January through May 30th (start and end dates are flexible based on your schedule) and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location. This type of opportunity will jump-start your career and prepare you for a career in the desired field. This is not a remote role. A hybrid work option may or may not be available.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
The Post Production & VFX Support team works closely with studio productions and internal customers to define, design, and implement new technology solutions for the content production pipeline.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Content Servicing:
• Prioritize and process a variety of requests from internal and external customers.
• Assist with the creation of file transcodes to customer specification and deliver content per client's instructions using industry standard technologies.
• Create and deliver screeners per clients instructions using SPE technologies.
• Assist with Aspera account creation and file deliveries.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to organize data from variety of sources and communicate information in a clear, professional manner to V.I.P. clients.
• Ability to prioritize critical tasks.
• Work effectively in a team.
• Operate in a fast-paced quick turnaround environment.
• Lift and deploy computer equipment up to 40 lbs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Computer troubleshooting Hardware/Software (windows/mac/linux)
• Transfer protocols (cifs, smb, sftp, aspera)
• Transcoding and/or Editing platforms
• Video/Audio Quality Control
• Storage platforms and backup procedures
The anticipated base salary for this position is $27/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
