The CEEMA Distribution and Networks team are looking for an ambitious Marketing Director to join this impactful team. If you are an experience marketing professional with a passion for Entertainment, then this could possibly be the perfect role for you!
What the role is:
The marketing Director provides sales support across the Distribution business (TVD Distribution, Networks and Home Ent) as it relates to strategic projects and directives (but not limited) to, pre and post-sale support, Direct to Consumer initiatives and customisation of materials for wider partnership opportunities amongst some of the key areas.
The Director will play a key leadership role in developing and maintaining marketing communication and materials to help drive maximum revenue for CEEMA's, Distribution and Home Ent business and new business propositions. The position will report to VP, CEEMA Marketing but will have a close working relationship with the EVP sales EMEA, LA business leads and regional sales heads.
A centralised role based in London, the Director of Marketing will support the sales and marketing strategy by working with local teams in the following regions; CEE, Africa, CIS, Middle East, Turkey, Israel, Greece, Baltics and Adria.
What you'll do:
Director will serve as a marketing ''generalist,'' with responsibility for strategic planning of marketing initiatives, creative conceptualisation and production of marketing materials, sales presentation reels
• Work closely with VP Marketing and Regional sales heads to understand priorities for the business unit, and craft strategic marketing plan accordingly
• Collaborate with sales to develop creative break-through sales pitches and presentation materials, assist in determining the strategic positioning of the pitch as it relates to marketing
• Drive digital growth in Home Ent. across CEEMA regions, work with task force in order to achieve the 5yr strategy. Responsible for annual marketing budget
• Be an active member of the Catalogue Growth initiative for the CEEMA regions, ensuring the team are supported with all the relevant tool to hit their targets.
• Work with in-house designer to create fully integrated, multi-media, modular materials for multi-purpose use. Define essential marketing elements, inclusive of digital and social strategy, critical to help sell in ideas to existing and new clients
• Research and engage outside creative agencies, in particular Social Media Agencies to ensure we are building sophisticated, robust, and innovative creative concepts to drive sales and create deeper interactions with the consumer
• Oversee in close collaboration with sales and PR teams, any trade presentations, pre-sales events, customer events and showcases to ensure consistent and positive representation for internally and externally
• Act as a close business partner for all of TV Distribution clients and affiliates in territory positioning Sony as the go to partner for close collaboration, leading insight, and nimble working
• Maintain high levels of industry knowledge of technological developments to ensure all marketing activities are fully maximized
• Collaborate closely with Regional Marketing leads to provide insight and standard processes, ensuring a one Sony approach
• Working closely with Marketing team in Culver City for features and TV series ensuring smooth communication with Regional offices.
• Manage the current Marketing Apprentice, ensuring they complete their work-based apprenticeship at the highest level. Support their development and growth within the business whilst ensuring the role supports the wider CEEMA team throughout.
What you'll have:
Experience:
• Confirmed experience in marketing for entertainment companies, with clear focus on Direct to Consumer businesses
• Proven experience in television or general entertainment at a senior level.
• Experience crafting creative briefs and working with creative teams to develop marketing assets.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Excellent leadership – experience in managing team and establishing positive relationships with executives
• Outstanding inter-personal communication skills are essential
• Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain solid working relationships with Production clients, sales force, staff/agencies/consultants.
• Capable of leading and motivating teams as a facilitator who gets things done
• Collaborative and adaptable
• Sensitive to cultural differences
• Excellent project and time leadership skills.
• Some experience in PR desirable
