This Spring Trainee position is from January through May 30th (start and end dates are flexible based on your schedule) and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location. This type of opportunity will jump-start your career and prepare you for a career in the desired field. This is not a remote role. A hybrid work option may or may not be available.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
The Culver City Corporate and Central Functions Finance department for Sony Pictures Entertainment keeps the divisional leaders apprised of all finance related matters for their group(s), primarily ensuring that a strong financial discipline and analysis is in place to support the division in achieving its goals and objectives. The team has responsibility for delivering management reporting for the division including budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, etc. as well as ad hoc reporting and strategic analysis to support decision making.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in analyzing financial data and preparing reports to provide insights.
• Help in preparation and tracking of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections for various departments.
• Perform accurate data entry, reconcile accounts, and ensure all transactions are recorded properly.
• Assist in creating presentations and reports to communicate financial performance.
• Assist with financial process improvement initiatives to achieve efficiency and optimize planning to support decision-making.
• Assist the team with various tasks on an ad hoc basis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting, Business or Economics or MBA
• In-depth experience with enterprise planning systems (eg. SAP, Hyperion, etc.) and business intelligence tools (eg. SAP BW, Power BI, Tableau, Essbase, etc.); experience with SAP S/4 and BW/BPC preferred
The anticipated base salary for this position is $22- $37/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
