Job Description
This position provides dedicated support to the Senior Vice President, and helps the department ensure that all SPE's motion picture marketing campaigns achieve maximum outreach to targeted multicultural and LGBTQ+ demographics. Position will interface with several theatrical marketing functions, including Creative Advertising, Digital, Social, Media, Partnerships, Research, Publicity, and social impact to help ensure a targeted strategy is embedded in every facet of SPE's theatrical marketing campaigns. This role is suited for a targeted marketing professional with strong experience and in-depth knowledge of the cultural marketplace, insights, and trends.
Job Description / Responsibilities
• Creative and strategic thinking with a solution-oriented, collaborative mindset and the ability to independently lead projects.
• Manage day-to-day campaign activities, communicate priorities, and serve as contact with internal teams and agencies.
• Work cross-functionally across the studio eco-system, ensuring communication flows between the groups and is leveraged by all key stakeholders.
• Work with internal teams to secure and activate partnerships and sponsorships that extend the reach of a film's multicultural targets via innovative and authentic strategies.
• Identify and engage with organizations, press and community advocates to develop ongoing relationships and cultivate ambassadorship among core constituencies to uplift and amplify campaign messaging and tactics.
• Cultivate and nurture relationships with agencies, media, industry partners, thought leaders, vendors, and influencers to help communicate SPE's targeted marketing messages.
• Assist in creation of a wide range of internal and external communications materials, including strategy, plans, recaps and filmmaker/talent presentations.
• Attuned to the current media landscape and proactively guide team in identifying entities that align with Intersectional Marketing initiatives and authentically reflect the appropriate cultural lens of our audiences.
• Participate in brainstorms sessions, contributing fresh, creative, and executable ideas.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and 5 years professional related experience in multicultural/targeted marketing
• Experience developing and executing marketing initiatives
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint)
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines simultaneously
• Excellent interpersonal skills in order to interface with key internal and external entities
• Highly creative and strategic; ability to generate ideas and execute against them
• High degree of enthusiasm combined with a problem solver mentality
• Possession of a professional and courteous demeanor
• Common sense, dependability, maturity, discretion and attention to detail
• Must be a self-starter with a team-player attitude
The anticipated base salary for this position is $130k to $170k. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
