Job Description
Coordinator, Workplace Experience is responsible for supporting the operations of and engagement activities designed for employees based at a 240,000sf 21st century workspace campus for 3 distinct operating businesses of Sony Pictures Entertainment. Working as part of a team, this individual may be called upon to work as a Coffee Bar barista in the morning, manage office food programs including daily lunch service and pantry services, and handle mailroom, shipping, and receiving responsibilities. In addition, the general upkeep and appearance of the workspace will be managed by the Workspace Experience team and the ideal candidate will have a commitment to clean and productive workspace presentation. The role calls for someone with a commitment to hospitality services, facilities operations, and engagement with a strong focus on customer service and employee experience.

The person in this role should be a natural people person, a dedicated problem-solver and someone committed to going the extra mile to ensure a best-in-class workspace experience. He or she should be committed to helping to create a community by, for, and about artists where team members are excited to come into the workspace. Good communication skills and experience with multiple digital tools and computer programs are required as well as facility with learning new platforms and products quickly. The Coordinator, Workspace Experience should be detail-oriented and customer-focused with an ability to surprise and delight stakeholders so that every day is an adventure. A strong sense of teamwork, can-do attitude, and ''no job is too small'' mentality is essential.

Responsibilities:
• As part of this jack-of-all-trades role the right candidate will partner with the Workspace Experience team to serve as an onsite Barista every morning from 8:30am-11:30am. During these hours, the Barista will operate a full-service Barista counter for the employee population, preparing a wide variety of coffee and tea drinks and smoothies including monthly specials, themed beverages, and an engaging morning coffee experience.
• Managing food service and food operations throughout the facility. The 1st floor space includes an onsite dining room and prep kitchen (all food prepared offsite). In this space, lunch will be served daily by an outside catering vendor who will bring in prepared subsidized meals. The coordinator is responsible for working with the vendor to prepare menus, communicate about food process and experience, and establish an ongoing food program for the community.
• Responsible for procurement and management for 6-9 in-house pantries on the upper floors. Pantries will incorporate filtered water options, coffee machines, and snacks for employees working onsite. The Coordinator has ultimate responsibility for the snack and beverage experience on the upper floors and maintenance of the pantries throughout the day.
• Management of all vending machines on campus
• The facility has limited mailing, shipping and receiving needs. The Coordinator wil be responsible for managing the mailroom and ensuring that incoming mail and packages are distributed in a timely manner and outgoing mail and packages are sent out using US Mail, interoffice service between the site and the Lot, UPS, FedEx, and other shipping and receiving vendors.
• Designing, preparing, and managing regular employee engagement programming including but not limited to wellness programs, screening series, speakers and guest appearances, happy hours, game nights, competitions, and team building activities.
• Event planning for a wide variety of event types, sizes, and audiences. Event support for events designed and managed by each respective operating business.
• Managing office services communications through a variety of approaches so that all community members are aware of the benefits, perks, and activities available to them.
• Maintaining awareness of all On-lot events and activities so that events can be mirrored at this new location.
• Handling office supplies and supporting office services functions to ensure that all pantries and print/copy rooms are stocked and refreshed regularly.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
• High school dip
• Established experience in food service, customer service, and event management
• 1-2 years of Barista Experience necessary. Experience at a customer facing chain store a plus.
• Experience in high-touch customer-focused environments
• Experience meeting and exceeding client expectations, and strong technical experience in conceptualizing and executing events and engagement strategies
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments, with a strong willingness to learn and continuously improve.
• Undergraduate Degree a plus

The anticipated base salary for this position is $48,000 - $60,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
