Assistant Manager, Public Relations

Based in Taipei, the role of Assistant Manager, Public Relations will be responsible for generating positive media coverage and public awareness of upcoming Sony movie releases. In this role you will need to maximize publicity exposure for Sony titles through news releases and creative events that will garner interest from the media and public on a timely basis. You will also provide publicity support for locally acquired titles when required.

Key Responsibilities of the role include:
• Responsible for PR strategy localization and execution (pitching, press release write ups) and publicity/news exposure report submission
• Build relationships with media, and work with various local media to maximize exposure for Sony titles via traditional (print, TV, radio, etc.) and digital media
• Capitalize on media opportunities at International Junkets, Premieres, Production Set Visits, etc. Organize talent tours, phoners, satellite interviews, press conferences
• Support publicity event planning, execution and coordination, including junkets held in Taiwan
• Arrange for and maximize exposure for movie talents/dubbing talents
• Media tie-in promotion: Aim at targeted media to initiate tie-ins, and screenings if necessary, to further enhance and reinforce media publicity mileage apart from the normal publicity generated
• Corporate tie-ins: mainly on soundtracks, music labels and charity organizations

To be considered for this role you will have:
• University or above education
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, in both English and Chinese
• Typically a minimum of 5 years' experience in the publicity field
• Experiences in dealing and negotiating with all sorts of media, dealing with journalists and handling publicity events
• Keen interest in movies, good understanding of media environment, sensitive to pulse change of movie industry
• Creative, aggressive, positive and outgoing, patient and organized, able to work under high pressure
• Excellent team player
• Familiar with Windows and digital including mobile and social
• Proficient with MS Office applications, familiar with digital tools including social and mobile
