The ShotGrid Production Manager will report to the Head of Production and will be the primary point of contact for SDA and SAM (Skydance Animation Madrid) ShotGrid users with regard to ShotGrid implementation for feature animation workflows. The ShotGrid Production Manager will act as the single point of contact to production for those users bases regarding requirements, schedule, and targets for ShotGrid configuration, implementation, prioritization, and training. The ShotGrid Production Manager will collaborate with the workflow team and Studio leadership to implement changes to the priorities they set.
Responsibilities
• Manage ShotGrid requests from production and supervisors
• Collaborate with, provide requirements, and manage priorities for the Production Technology teams on the implementation of any pipeline needs in relation to ShotGrid
• Work with ShotGrid stakeholders, including film production teams and studio management, to develop standardized workflows and best practices
• Manage ShotGrid fields and templates for tracking and reporting
• Create high level views of data used for forecasting and pulling data from ShotGrid for production teams and studio leadership
• Document new features and maintain existing documentation for production workflows as they relate to ShotGrid
• Candidate should have a working knowledge of the ShotGrid in VFX/animation production. Must be a clear and effective communicator, able to assess and support the needs of the studio
• Work with several different projects and unify them into a ShotGrid with common tools to maintain consistency throughout the studio
• Communicate and build consensus across shows when global changes to ShotGrid are needed
• Create documentation regarding the use of ShotGrid tools
• Be on the lookout for opportunities to improve user experiences and remove complexity to help teams be more productive
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops to ensure all team members are proficient with ShotGrid, enhancing overall team capability and project execution
• Actively engage in cross-departmental communications to understand the full scope of production needs and how ShotGrid can be optimized to meet those demands
Requirements
• BA/BS preferred
• A solid understanding of feature film production workflows
• 5 years of management experience in a feature or TV animation workflow with direct experience influencing Shotgrid adoption, modification, and implementation
• Candidate should have a working knowledge of the ShotGrid in VFX/animation production
• Must be a clear and effective communicator, able to assess and support the needs of the studio
• Strong computer skills, including ShotGrid, Excel and MS Office
• Experience with ShotGrid API for custom tool development is a plus, providing a technical edge to streamline production processes
• Demonstrated superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• The ability to work flexible hours is necessary
The salary range for this position in Connecticut is $125,000 – $165,000. The salary offered may vary based on the candidate's location, qualifications, experience and relevant expertise, among other factors. The range indicated is for base salary only and does not reflect the total compensation package, including bonus, benefits, etc.
