Skydance Animation Madrid is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Environment Set Dressing trainee to join our studio!

This is a paid internship that will be held on-site.
The Environment Set Dressing department creates impressive environments with manual and procedural dressings. Using cutting-edge technology. The artists are responsible for distributing and growing assets and vegetation to fill the environment and improve the narrative context of the sequence. All content is gathered and optimized for each shot before delivering to Lighting and Compositing departments.
Artists in this department are involved in several processes such as location assembling process, set dressing per sequence, shot construction, optimization, rendering, publication and support.

Responsibilities
• Creates distributions using scattering tools such as Houdini or a similar software.
• Is proactive in requesting the revision of their work once it's finished it, and meets the technical requirements and QCs (Quality Control) before passing it to the rest of the departments down the pipeline.
• Acquires basic technical knowledge of the studio pipeline
• Learns how to be responsible for their assigned tasks, in a real production, as well as keeps control of their associated notes and tickets.
• Learns how to meet deadlines and notifies accordingly if it is not possible or related problems and issues arise.
• Follows the Supervisor's and Lead´s guidance.
• Assists other team members.
Requirements
• Must be available for at least 3 months onsite (from Monday until Friday, 35h/week).
• Must be currently enrolled in your last year in an Associate, Bachelor, or Master's program at an accredited institution.
• Basic understanding of composition.
• Creation of distributions using scattering tools in Houdini or similar software.
• Good knowledge of the software used for the show (usually Maya, Houdini).
• Self-starter with proficient writing and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
• Highly motivated and interested in Animation and Technology.
• Good team player!
• High English level desirable.
• Spanish knowledge desirable.
