Job Description
The E.W. Scripps Company, a leading media organization, is seeking a Vice President of Pricing, Inventory, and Planning to become part of their executive team. This individual will oversee the pricing, planning, and inventory departments, focusing on maximizing revenue and effective inventory management. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining rate cards and executing pricing strategies. The VP will work closely with various departments, including finance, marketing, research, programming, senior sales management, and IT, to foster best business practices that support sales in meeting or surpassing budget objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Create, implement, and monitor sales planning policies and procedures.
• Drive revenue growth objectives through strategic Sales Planning process and inventory maximization.
• Collaborate with Directors of Planning as they oversee all outgoing proposals and work with AE's though negotiating and revisions.
• Work with sales management and finance on budgets, revenue analysis, network performance and pacing of sales targets.
• Collaborate with research and sales to create rate card estimates and pricing.
• Collaborate with Ad Operations, finance, marketing and sales to ensure pricing and planning strategies align with broader business goals.
• Maximize DR rates and utilization of all remnant inventory.
• Oversee inventory allocation, ensuring an optimal balance between revenue generation and client needs.
• Work closely with finance to refine forecasting and financial analysis.
• Collaborate and consult with Sales VP's and Accounts Executives on key areas to leverage, client requests, and terms and conditions.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of dashboards and reporting tools to track inventory utilization, pricing performance and revenue metrics.
• Instrumental in the future of advertising evolution as it relates to CTV linear and local yield strategy.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• BAS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience
• Generally, 15 - 20 years of experience in related field preferred
• MBA or relevant master's degree preferred

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Expertise in media planning, pricing or yield management within the media, advertising or television industry
• Demonstrated leadership experience with a history of managing cross-functional teams and a strong track record of achieving revenue goals
• Advanced Excel proficiency and strong knowledge and experience with BI Tools, Ad Sales systems, preferable to WideOrbit Network
• Ability to analyze large data sets to inform pricing strategies and make data-driven decisions
• Ability to think long-term and develop strategies that align with market evolution and company goals
• A strong motivator with proven experience managing staff and teams and proven record in cross-functional collaboration and brainstorming
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and organizational objectives
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively and diplomatically with all divisions of the organization.
• Skilled in responding to a rapidly changing market and can pivot strategies to capitalize on new opportunities

COMPENSATION RANGE:
Annual Salary: $225,000.00 - 250000

Pursuant to state and local salary transparency laws, the salary range posted is specific to candidates who will perform this work in New York.
