Specialist, Social Media (Sports)

The E.W Scripps company is hiring a Specialist, Social Media for Sports The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for writing and posting content, coordinating campaigns, managing editorial calendars, and generating performance reports for all relevant social platforms, as well as, assisting in the development of the editorial process and social strategy to increase brand awareness and network viewership.

Scripps offers a hybrid work option for this position

What you'll do:
• Manage the scheduling and posting of content for social platforms
• Write engaging copy for all relevant social platforms
• Help develop original video and graphic content ideas
• Identify compelling video and graphic content from current events and sports culture
• Assist in the development and implementation of social media strategy for all platforms
• Monitor user engagement and other KPI's to optimize content strategy
• Generate and present social analytics reports to management

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• College degree or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of relevant social, digital, or marketing experience required

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of social media networks
• Understanding of social media analytics and reporting
• Working knowledge of social media advertising processes
• Ability to produce and edit video content a plus
