Lead the strategic development and execution of compelling live game broadcasts, overseeing the production crew to deliver a seamless, engaging viewing experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Make high-level decisions in directing live game broadcast, calling camera shots, replay sequences, graphics, and commentary in real-time.
• Collaborate closely with the production team including producers, technical directors, graphics operators, and on-air talent.
• Develop the overall look, feel, and style of the game broadcast to align with the network's brand and production standards.
• Make quick, strategic decisions during the live production to adapt to changing game situations and production needs.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with the production crew to ensure everyone is on the same page and executing their roles.
• Review game footage and provide feedback to improve future productions.
• Outline pre-production planning, including storyboarding, graphics design, and camera blocking.
• Ensure all broadcasts adhere to network policies, FCC regulations, and safety protocols.
• Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred
• Generally, 8+ years of experience in related field preferred
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Expert knowledge of sports production workflows, equipment, and technology
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and make fast-paced, strategic decisions
• Creative vision and an eye for compelling, dynamic game coverage
• Proficient with broadcast production software and equipment
