Group Sales Season Representative (PT)

The Spurs Sports & Entertainment Group Sales Season Representative is designed to offer entry-level, qualified candidates the ability to receive hands-on business experience with a professional sports team. This position will give the intern an opportunity work directly with the San Antonio Spurs, dealing with various aspects of the day-to-day operation including marketing, community events, game nights, and general office duties. Being in Group Sales, the intern will gain experience on the creative side and be involved in meetings where ideas and events are brainstormed and put into action. This is a part-time, seasonal position and does not guarantee employment once the season ends.

What You'll Do: 

General Group Sales Department Support
• Group event planning & logistics
• Helping with group sales collateral for groups-vouchers, etc.
• Assistance with in-/out-bound phone traffic related to large group programs (incorrect credit card transactions, etc.)
• Idea sharing/brainstorming for group events.
• Data basing flyers & management of mailings and filings

Game Night Duties
• Meeting/escorting groups
• Helping groups with set-up in their concourse performance areas
• Helping with redemption tables (group value-add item)
• Assistance with Fan Experience packages (FEPs)-post-game free throws, pre-game courtside experience, etc.

Who You Are:  
• An undergraduate degree in related field, or currently pursuing one
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. (20 - 30 hours/week)
• Strong time management skills in order to meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is necessary; Experience with ticketing systems is a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• The ability to carry/move/handle boxes up to 25 lbs.
• Self-starter, highly motivated individual.
• Ability to work with all types of people.
• Ability to adapt to changing projects.
