Job Description
Rolling Stone is hiring an Account Manager. The Account Manager will be critical in our fast-paced advertising sales team. The role will be responsible for liaising with clients and internal departments to plan and coordinate all areas of digital and print media buys for the Rolling Stone brand. This position requires participation in all sales process stages- including creating media plans, gathering materials, optimizing delivery, and analyzing performance. This position also requires a passion for music and entertainment and a strong willingness to learn and be motivated by the opportunity to help shape and contribute to the team's growth.
Responsibilities:
• Create media-specific documents for campaign RFPs, including media plans, spec sheets, and screenshot decks
• Attend and participate in campaign brainstorms, assisting in analyzing proposals and generating ideas that meet client objectives
• Maintain knowledge and expertise of Rolling Stone products, pricing, and packaging for building media plans
• Understand and interpret advertising P&Ls to ensure pricing accuracy
• Assist in the management of day-to-day communication with key clients and internal stakeholders
• Build campaign performance reports for the client that are inclusive of information from third-party servers and site-direct reporting
• Gather insights from reports, data, and analytics to inform performance optimizations and future programs
• Aggregate and organize creative assets received for campaign execution
• Inputting media plan data into PMC and other third-party ad-serving systems, including Salesforce, Placements, and JIRA
• Provide support to a team of account managers to help strengthen pre-sale and post-sale execution (e.g., submitting campaign invoices, budget requests, campaign performance issues)
Requirements:
• Minimum 2+ years of digital planning experience or account management experience at a digital publisher or digital media agency
• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Expertise in ''media math''
• Proficient in planning across digital, social, and branded content
• High comfortability with managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Basic knowledge or understanding of media inventory forecasting
• Excellent Communication Skills - high aptitude for managing expectations
Typical wage range: 65K - 70K
Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
