Title: Coordinator, Sports Talent Partnerships & Management
Location: New York, NY (On-Site, Full-Time)
The Role:
Roc Nation Sports, is looking to fill a Coordinator position in the New York City office to support the day to day management and monetization for current and future clients. The role will work closely with sports partnership executives, athlete managers, and agents.This role is an incredible opportunity for a candidate interested in growing their rolodex with major brands and agencies by working on behalf of both professional and collegiate athletes that participate in the major sports verticals.
The candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of projects, relationships, and coverage each week while assisting the team in attaining and exceeding goals in a very competitive and high-growth space, while building relationships across the industry.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for sales outreach and negotiating partnerships on behalf of sports talent on a local, regional and national basis
• Maintain and track weekly coverage in dedicated local markets and assigned sports
• Assist in managing current/future clients brand partnerships and managing the day to day activity and deliverables with respect to these talent-brand relationships
• Serve as a point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email, when needed, to respond to questions and requests
• Daily client servicing duties could include, but not limited to, booking travel accommodations, dinner reservations, ground transportation, relocation and housing needs, etc.
• Must be available nights, weekends and holidays for client needs and priorities
• Prepare and review pertinent documents when necessary (e.g., pitches, proposals, deal memos, etc.)
• Learn to use the latest digital talent sales platforms in the marketplace to secure social/digital opportunities for our clients
• Making brand outreach to secure product seeding, gifting, and barter opportunities for our clients
Qualifications:
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in sales, prospecting and making outbound calls.
• Background working at a Talent Agency, Sports Agency or Management Company, League or Union working directly with Athletes is preferred, but not required.
• Has a passion for sales and an outbound mentality
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Demonstrated track record supporting, developing, and maintaining relationships with multiple divisions and company leaders to ensure appropriate communications and a coordinated approach to maximizing successes with clients
• Proven success to meet or exceed revenue targets
• Strong creative sales strategist
• Must be proficient in MS Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote
COVID-19 vaccination series and booster shot is a mandatory requirement for this position.
