Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:

As our QA Manager, you will foster the growth and engagement of Raven's talented QA staff. You will be developing career growth strategies in partnership with peers and individual developers across the studio with a focus on shaping the QA team to meet the product needs, maximizing the team's talent, and championing your team's strengths.

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, and the home studio for this role is Madison, WI.

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
• Gather requirements and build comprehensive documentation for effective career growth for QA testers with a variety of skills and areas of expertise
• Develop, modify, and improve a career development strategy for the QA team in alignment with Raven's product goals, department team structure, and central QA partners
• Hold regular 1-1s with all Raven QA team members to continually shape and discuss their career growth and track progress
• Understand core QA processes, tooling standards and partnerships with central teams to ensure your team is always aligned
• Organize and promote regular employee training in alignment with testing best practices, opportunities for process and tooling optimization, and AI exploration
• Conduct new employee orientation in a consistent and effective manner
• Schedule and facilitate employee performance reviews, goal setting, development planning, and quarterly check-ins
• Build a strong working relationship with the QA team, Producers, Directors and central partners
• Meet regularly with Production and central QA to ensure the team's areas of focus are consistently aligned with the product needs

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 3+ years as a QA tester in a fast-paced environment in game development
• 2+ years as a Manager of large QA teams in gaming or related tech field
• Deep knowledge of testing processes, tooling and best practices in game development
• Ability to lead multiple projects/deliverables simultaneously with overlapping deadlines and split teams
• Flexibility in approach to both managing team members and adjusting to a variety of testing needs and environments
• Passion for helping testers grow their careers
• Success in managing QA teams with a diverse set of skills and experience levels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to document and drive consistent expectations and standards within your team
• Strong planning, time management, and organizational skills
• Ability to get results by actively listening, negotiating, and influencing
• A deep sense of integrity, a team-centered orientation, and a collaborative approach to problem solving

In the US, the standard base pay range for this role is $97,200.00 - $179,900.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all US locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role's range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates, new hire compensation is negotiable.
