Job Description
Penske Media Real Estate (PMRe), a division of Penske Media Corp. (PMC), is hiring a Director of Security to design, implement, and oversee the security infrastructure for a private island development catering to high-end clientele and luxury assets. This role requires working closely with our corporate security team to ensure a seamless and comprehensive security strategy. The ideal candidate will have a background in law enforcement, exceptional technical expertise, and the ability to develop a state-of-the-art security system from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Corporate Security: Work directly with our corporate security team to develop and implement an advanced, integrated security framework tailored to the island's unique needs.
• Design and Build Security Systems: Oversee the creation of physical security, cybersecurity, and access control systems in coordination with corporate standards and best practices.
• Leadership and Team Building: Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing security team, ensuring ongoing preparedness and adherence to top professional standards.
• Technological Integration: Leverage cutting-edge security technologies, including surveillance, alarm systems, and access management tools, to create a seamless and secure environment.
• Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and design proactive measures to address potential threats.
• Emergency Protocols: Develop and execute protocols for emergency scenarios, such as natural disasters, security breaches, or evacuations, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain strong relationships with local law enforcement, emergency services, and private security agencies.
• Confidentiality and Privacy: Ensure the utmost discretion in protecting the privacy and security of all clients and their assets.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of security systems and protocols, staying ahead of emerging threats and technologies.
Qualifications:
• Extensive experience in security leadership, with a proven track record of building and managing security systems in luxury or high-end environments.
• Background in law enforcement, military, or private security, with expertise in security planning and operations.
• Exceptional technical knowledge and proficiency in advanced security technologies, including surveillance systems, cybersecurity, and access control platforms.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a high-performing team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking, with a focus on proactive risk management.
• Impeccable discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
• Relevant certifications in security management, information technology, or crisis response are highly desirable.
