Job Summary
The Pittsburgh Pirates are seeking an entry-level professional to join our Baseball Operations department. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain experience in various facets of Major League Baseball operations including roster management, market analysis, compliance with MLB rules, acquisition strategy, player evaluation, budget management, and more. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong passion for baseball, attention to detail, organization skills, and a growth mindset.
Responsibilities:
• Help support the compliance and execution of roster moves at the upper levels
• Key member of a team to provide industry-level analysis of key acquisition markets
• Support the efforts of the Pro Evaluation department to provide complimentary player-level analysis
• Contributor to key events including MLB Trade Deadline, Arbitration, and more
• Provide support to operational and capital budgets for the entire Baseball Operations department including analysis and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with departments throughout Baseball Operations on ad-hoc projects and analysis including Pro Evaluation, Player Development, Scouting, Performance, and more.
