Player 15 Group is the sports, entertainment and real estate operating and investment company that owns and operates the Phoenix Suns (NBA), Phoenix Mercury (WNBA), Valley Suns (G League) as well as operations of the downtown Phoenix arena.

Player 15 Group is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Arena Technology Operations Manager to oversee technical projects and maintenance and supervise a team of AV/IT engineers. Candidates that align with this role will have experience as a people-leader and project management specialist.

What You Will Do:
• Manage a specialized team of audio, video, lighting and network engineers
• Supervise and mentor a diverse group of team members, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and job fulfilment
• Daily collaboration with other leaders to build camaraderie and cross-functional efficiency, with an aim towards operational excellence for the team, department, and organization
• Manager will be expected to support, fill in, and advocate for a highly technical staff; functional knowledge and technical skills can be developed over time – willingness to learn is essential
• Monitor technical trends, both internally and externally; adopt, adapt and coach as needed to ensure high performance on the team
• Position requires non-traditional availability: ability to flex hours for nights and weekends will be required to support events.
• Utilize a project management skill set to oversee construction projects, facility improvement planning, and routine maintenance
• Lead department's project management system, overseeing development of project plans, budgets and resource allocation
• Lead large-scale technology projects from initiation through completion, utilizing recognized methodologies and relying on previous experience
• Provide thoughtful insight into the development of policy, procedure and solutions in conjunction with Technology Services leadership team
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including own team and external stakeholders, to ensure project requirements are met and risks are effectively mitigated
• Apply the same rigor to internal maintenance procedures to ensure building and staff are equipped to support over 150 live events annually
• Utilize project management system (currently Monday.com) to ensure staff and resources are properly allocated and organized

What We Need From Our Arena Technology Operations Manager:
• Exceptional organization, collaboration and communication skills

• Experience leading a team of 5 or more people in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to plan and execute projects with minimal direction from supervisor
• Experience developing, documenting, and implementing policy and procedure
• Proven track record of utilizing metrics and data collection in managing technology projects
• Experience utilizing Monday.com or a similar project management tool
• Ability to illustrate project scope, deliverables, timelines and stakeholders, and then execute on a well-defined project plan
• Proven track record of record keeping and data management
• Ability to problem solve in a timely manner
• Familiarity with control room operations, broadcast technology, systems and network administration, and/or live audio and lighting systems

Experience/ Education Requirements:
• College degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Certifications (or proven experience) in any of the following highly preferred: PMP, Aruba, Cisco, Q-Sys, Dante, Palo Alto, Grand MA, ETC
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role with multiple direct reports
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an independent project manager, demonstrating proven ability to plan, manage and complete technical projects
