Reporting directly to the division President & Publisher, the Executive Assistant will act as a liaison between different departments within Knopf Doubleday and the publisher. Daily responsibilities include all-around project support, calendar and meeting management, division-wide DEI project management, writing weekly event memos for the group, creating materials for meetings, background research for meetings when applicable, catering/planning corporate and author functions.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, meticulous self-starter who loves to read, has strong writing and analytical skills, communicates clearly, and is invested in being part of a collaborative team. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse set of responsibilities efficiently and effectively and is comfortable asking for help when needed.

The Role:
• Extensive calendar and schedule maintenance for the president/publisher, including development and coordination of travel itineraries
• Chiefly responsible for all daily correspondence via telephone, e-mail, and physical mail with internal staff, authors, agents, and business partners
• File and maintain travel and entertainment (T&E) expense reports for both weekly and monthly expenditures
• Provide additional administrative support for the President & Publisher, including  benefits administration, Internet research, and trafficking correspondence between departments
• Maintain and report human resources data to corporate human resources representatives
• Proficient event planning skills (annual events, personal occasions, conventions, seminars, large meetings)
• Maintain and develop an extensive client database (over 2,000 contacts across several industries)-author, agent, etc.
• Support with Strategic Projects on research, agendas, and presentation materials for President's and divisional-wide meetings
• Work with President/Publisher and DEI Strategy Team on discreet projects
• Work with President/Publisher on regular group communications

The salary range for this position is $58,000-$65,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
