Executive Assistant - (Onsite)

Penguin Random House is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support both our global CEO and Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). You would report to both executives and the role is ideal for an experienced executive assistant who is extremely organized and discreet with a proven ability to work well in a deadline-driven and dynamic environment with a calm, can-do attitude.

In joining the team, you would be at the center of a fast-paced environment and would be quarter-backing a range of topics that would involve working with a variety of stakeholders all around the world. You will be managing complex schedules, tackling ad-hoc situations and would also be a key partner for our Strategy Team that works on a variety of projects across all departments.

We are a global team that works collaboratively across multiple geographies. This is a fully in-office position based in Midtown NYC.

Responsibilities: 
• Oversee management of Executive office on wide range of tasks, big and small, strategic and operational, while collaborating with various teams around the company
• Handle daily administrative tasks for both executives, including complex calendar management and scheduling in a fast-moving environment
• Manage travel and expenses, including arranging domestic and international travel and preparing expense reports
• Draft email communications
• Manage day-to-day needs of office including the ordering of office materials and upkeep of book displays
• Organize and manage in person meetings and special events (from scheduling to greeting visitors to room setup and catering) 

Qualification & Skills: 
• A minimum of five years of closely-related experience with at least 3 of those supporting senior executives 
• Ability to work well under pressure, quickly and effectively handling multiple responsibilities in a deadline-driven and dynamic environment with a can-do, calm approach
• Professional, friendly, and helpful manner with a solution orientation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word; Excel and PowerPoint a plus
• Strong sense of integrity with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion 
• Excellent time management skills, and ability to prioritize and multi-task 
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrates a creative and resourceful approach to problem-solving

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.
