BET Networks is seeking an Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice President of Scripted Original Programming. The EA is responsible for supporting all day-to-day business activity, both administrative and creative/development of the SVP. The ideal candidate for this role is very organized, a self-starter, and capable of achieving dynamic results in a very fast-paced and regularly changing environment.
Overview & Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day support to all aspects of SVP role
• Maintain and organize heavy calendar scheduling, w/ extraordinary attention to detail
• Coordinate internal and external meetings, VC, conference calls, etc. (across multiple time zones)
• Provide telephone support, keeping an updated call log (via CALLPLEASE), rolling calls, etc.
• Booking Travel, proactively completing and submitting all expenses through the Concur system and ensuring timely settlement of Corporate Credit Cards
• Ensure all actions are prioritized and followed up by the SVP
• Partnering with Dept. Coordinator on management of Submissions Log
• Leading incoming correspondence, including emails and telephone queries, and answering where appropriate
• Handling confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion
• Read and watch material and provide feedback when requested, including but not limited to coverage on incoming submissions
• Assisting with ad-hoc projects as needed

Basic Qualifications:
• 1+ year(s) of previous Executive Assistant experience on a high-volume entertainment desk at an agency, studio, network, production company, etc.
• Agency experience preferred
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision, resourceful
• Passion for television, and desire for a career in development/programming
• Forward thinker who will anticipate needs of the executive
• Very organized and pays attention to detail
• Must have excellent communication skills including verbal and written.
• Capacity to engage professionally with peers, associates, executives at every level
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Google Docs/Spreadsheets
• Solution oriented

Additional Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
