Overview
The Accounting Manager - FIFA is a hands-on finance position responsible for accounting activities within this On Location division. The position will report to the Director, Controller - FIFA. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical accounting and controls experience (preferably within Events or Hospitality) along with the adaptability, resilience to change and inter-personal skills necessary to thrive in large people-oriented organizations.
Overall Responsibility
This role will be responsible for the overall accounting activities related to the production of accurate US GAAP financial statements for the FIFA entities within On Location. The Accounting Manager will perform varied accounting and analysis activities of a complex nature. The individual will identify value-added opportunities; including identifying opportunities that promote standardization, efficiency and making recommendations for overall team performance improvement, in order to better serve the businesses and senior management. The individual should demonstrate empathy, flexibility and agility in adapting to changing circumstances and priorities, as required.
Key areas of responsibility
• Responsible for the operations of the general ledger related to FIFA profit centers including all transactional activity, tax, and month-end reporting
• Preparation and posting of journal entries for approval
• Preparation and review of monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, reporting packs, and other various reporting requirements for all FIFA legal entities, conducting regular reviews to ensure accuracy
• Support in the development of SOX compliant controls and monitor appropriate execution of the control environment, including attending and driving walkthrough meetings
• Support internal and external audit of financial processes and statements
• Assist in the management of the cash forecast process and disbursement requests, working along side Treasury, AR, & AP
• Assist in aggregation of information across all geographies within FIFA business for various month end close procedures and meetings with the Controller
• Monthly and ad hoc reporting
• Other ad-hoc corporate responsibilities (e.g. sales tax reporting, SOC 1 reporting, audit documentation)
Qualifications
• 5+ years of progressive experience in controllership & accounting
• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required; ACA, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or MBA (Big 4 preferred)
• NetSuite experience preferred
• Experience working with multinational companies
• Knowledge of ASC 606 the revenue recognition standard for contracts of goods and/or services
• Knowledge of SOX 404 Act and the ability to design and maintain related internal controls

Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. Hiring Range Minimum:
$97,500 annually
Hiring Range Maximum:
$130,000 annually
