The Stadium Operations Event Coordinator will assist the Executive Director of Stadium Planning & Special Projects and the Senior Manager, Stadium Operations with the coordination of the logistical and functional activities for non-baseball events. This includes distribution of event-related information to all event staff, contractors, and team personnel.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the logistical and functional needs for assigned non-baseball events.
• Prepare event documents and communicate information to operations and support staff including as related to audio-visual, telecommunications, set-up, custodial, maintenance, security, and ticketing personnel.
• Onsite for events, as assigned, while demonstrating continuous efforts to exceed guest expectations.
• Enforce Stadium policies and procedures throughout each event; identify and, when necessary, resolve problems with the Stadium Operations Manager on Duty.
• Maintain accurate and complete files, records and other documents relating to assigned responsibilities, including inventory management.
• Assist in the management of external vendor load-in and load-outs during events.
• Track maintenance issues for events and problem solve in real time for guest safety and premium guest experience.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 1-3+ years of experience in operations and event planning
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and prioritize quickly
• Ability to build and maintain rapport with service contractors, municipal emergency services and all event staff
• Knowledge in determining and coordinating logistical needs for large events, preferably in a large sports stadium or event venue
• Proficiency with general office PC applications (i.e., word processing, TEAMS, Zoom, spreadsheets, databases)
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and adapt to change
• Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays including in an outdoor Stadium environment
• Experience with trade unions is a plus.
• Understanding of CAD and building code is a plus
