The Role

The Senior Manager, AV Studio - Film & Animation, will lead and inspire a team of Creative Content Managers that oversee creation, strategy and execution of on set AV capture that directly support our title campaigns across our Film and Animation slates. Reporting to the Senior Director of Photo & AV Studio (UCAN region), this role is responsible for managing and developing their team, bringing a deep understanding of AV tech, production process and a creative and strategic vision in storytelling.

Responsibilities include:
• Leadership & Team Management: Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing AV Studio team within Publicity, responsible for capturing and creating AV content in support of campaigns across our titles.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication: The team partners cross-functionally across on set capture both in creative strategy and execution in support of Publicity and Marketing campaigns. This role will work closely with the leadership teams of these partners, sharing key learnings and establishing thought leadership.
• Production & Workflow Solutions: Assess the needs and build production solutions across a broad team of cross-functional partners, optimizing existing workflows and developing new ones to ensure that we eliminate bottlenecks and produce high-quality creative with appropriate velocity.
• Creative Strategy & Execution: Oversee the creation of compelling, high-quality content and collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into creative strategies.
• Technical Excellence & Innovation: Subject-matter expert on the latest trends in emerging AV technologies, new video formats, and creative asset ecosystem for publicity and entertainment.
• Budget & Resource Management: Responsible for overall team financial reporting, vendor performance and management, team resources, assignments, and workflows to ensure efficient project execution.

Qualifications:
• 10+ years in a creative leadership role with experience in publicity creative strategy, on set capture and working directly with filmmakers, showrunners, talent and production teams.
• Leadership experience at an entertainment studio or network, marketing agency technology or media company.
• Experience managing a high volume of projects, collaborating with high-performing teams to create and deliver various AV materials captured on set and created as part of the overall publicity strategy.
• Relationships with a wide range of AV and creative content agencies of all sizes to to specialized or emerging DPs, editors etc.
• Proficiency across the latest AV software, formats and tooling advancements, including Adobe Creative Suite, 4K and HD.

• Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of AV technologies, equipment, and production techniques.
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $230,000 - $480,000. Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
