The Role

Netflix is releasing content at a pace and scale unlike any studio or broadcast channel in history: all around the world, at the same time for over 270 million members. With so many different titles to choose from across such a range of tastes and cultural standards, our members need the information and context to be able to tell at a glance that what they're watching is appropriate for their household.

We are looking for an experienced professional for the Partnerships division of our Ratings team. The Ratings Team is a center of excellence for maturity ratings and advisories, working closely with Product, Content, and Public Policy teams at Netflix as well as regulators to empower members with trustworthy ratings guidance to make informed viewing choices for themselves and their families. The work you do in this role will directly affect how our members decide what to watch.

In this role, you will help develop our ratings framework for Netflix's content catalog in UCAN and LATAM as well as support our global strategy for games ratings. It will require an understanding of regulatory requirements and cultural sensitivities, operational aptitude to enforce policies at-scale, ability to navigate competing global and local priorities, and the ability to speak effectively about how we develop and apply maturity ratings to content on service. You will serve as the UCAN and LATAM ratings classification expert and as an in-house conduit to ratings boards. In addition, you will support the development and execution of the global PMR communications strategy.

This is a highly cross-functional role. You will work closely with Public Policy, Legal, Marketing, and Communications Teams to develop our ratings strategy in UCAN and LATAM as well as our global games ratings strategy. You will also work with members of the broader Product organization, such as Consumer Insights, Operations, Globalization, and Engineering to execute on our overall maturity ratings strategy.

This role will report into the Director Of Ratings and Partnerships and will be based in Los Angeles.

Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with regional Public Policy teams to support the development and execution of the ratings strategy in UCAN and LATAM as well as our global ratings strategy for games
• Project manage ongoing board engagements in UCAN and LATAM, including the Motion Picture Association, and initiatives to improve our ratings programs in the region
• Manage
operations and workflow with the global Marketing team to ensure compliance with our regulatory obligations for ratings on off-platform promotional assets
• Lead research initiatives in support of Netflix's ratings strategy
• Support the development and implementation of the PMR communications strategy
• Educate internal and external partners on the Netflix ratings framework and the work of PMR

Qualifications
• 7+ years in relevant fields, such as Policy Compliance, Communications, Crisis Response, Trust & Safety
• Extensive experience in highly cross-functional roles gaining buy-in, alignment, and context from a variety of stakeholders
• Excellent project, program, and stakeholder management skills with a proven track record for operational excellence and relationship building
• Strong verbal and written communicator and adept at presenting to external stakeholders
• Great judgment and decisiveness when dealing with timely, deadline-driven, content-related issues and concerns
• Strategic thinking, able to identify potential issues and propose solutions
• Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
• Critical thinking/problem solving skills and an aptitude for analyzing trends in data
• Experience working with the Google Suite and AirTable
• Knowledge of, and adherence to, global ratings boards' standards for both movies and games is preferred
• Proficiency in communication design of presentations, slides, internal documentation
• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $70,000-$370,000.
