The Ideal Candidate:

Netflix Animation Studios is looking for an HRBP who will partner with a number of talented professionals while building the best employee experience in Animation. The focus of this role is to help build a culture of collaboration and innovation so that the best stories can be told. Collaborating effectively within and across the global animation studio, this role directly partners with the Netflix Animation Studios Overhead teams, productions, and studio leaders. Contributing to and supporting the delivery of a cohesive talent strategy and vision for the team, this role will develop many of the key building blocks and continue to iterate and evolve our HR practices over time. Additionally, this HRBP will play a role in development and delivery of a consistent and best-in-class employee experience and will lead initiatives like culture adoption, organisation strategy and design, compensation, employee development, talent density, inclusion, and much more as we scale around the world.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and thoughtful leader with a collaborative and influential leadership style, the ability to inspire others into action, and to think creatively about solutions. The right person for this role must have strong learning agility, comfort with ambiguity, and be able to make quick, well-informed decisions.

Responsibilities:
• Building the capability of our people leaders to lead the business and their teams, including grounding them in the Netflix culture.
• Leading through change and navigating ambiguity, while maintaining operational excellence.
• Demonstrating autonomy and proactivity in identifying and addressing potential challenges before they become problems.
• Exploring and analysing data to identify insights and opportunities for business impact, using data to drive business decisions and tell a compelling story that influences stakeholders.
• Driving the Talent strategy to reach talent goals with strong collaboration across the Talent team and taking the lead on supporting leaders on complex employee relations matters (e.g., interpersonal conflict and exits).
• Supporting the organisation to deliver by helping drive alignment to the business strategy, problem solving, resolving the tension between groups, clarifying roles and responsibilities, improving team effectiveness, and nurturing organisational health.
• Continuing the integration of the NAS studios which involves streamlining our workflows and driving culture change for NAS in a thoughtful way
• Coaching, partnering, and influencing leaders on key people decisions and interventions.
• Equipping leaders towards inclusive leadership excellence to drive team effectiveness while ensuring a consistent employee experience, regardless of job level, language, location, background, identity or tenure

Qualifications and Experience:
• 8+ years of progressive, strategic, and well-rounded HR experience working in dynamic environments.
• Strategic thinking and business acumen with the ability to translate business strategy into actionable talent solutions.
• A self-starter who is comfortable in both the details and strategy, demonstrating curiosity about the business and organisation overall with a desire to uplevel the partnership with the teams they support.
• Demonstrated stakeholder management, influencing and accountability skills - especially with senior leaders.
• Skills in coaching leaders to mitigate bias in talent decisions and drive a consistent employee experience are essential.
• A great communicator who can share context confidently, effectively and bring clarity to messages.
• Expertise in change management, capable of navigating complex and ambiguous situations.
• Strong judgment, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Experience in leading the implementation of strategic talent initiatives
• Good understanding and experience in Australia's Labor Laws.
• Experience in Film, TV, and/or Gaming studio content production is desirable.
• Experience supporting a creative population.
• Experience working in a matrix environment is desirable.

This role is based in New South Wales, Australia.
