The Role
The Netflix Experience Design team is seeking a proven Design Leader to join our multidisciplinary Emerging Creative team, which includes motion, video, visual design, and audio specialists. As part Product Design Manager and part Creative Director, you will drive UX innovation, that balances creativity with feasibility, transforming big ideas into impactful business results.
About the Team
Emerging Creative is a team of designers specializing in dynamic media. We collaborate closely with product design, cross-functional business units, and engineering partners to envision, create, and inspire new product and omnichannel experiences. Our goal is to ensure quality and cohesion in Netflix members' experiences worldwide.

About You
You have experience recruiting and building effective creative teams and possess deep knowledge of UX design, brand expression, and product marketing. You set high standards for quality, communication, and collaboration. Most importantly, you lead by inspiring your team (vs just managing or directing them) to collaborate, create, and deliver exceptional product experiences together.
You excel at building and maintaining partnerships, working comfortably across various initiatives and with diverse partners. You proactively build context to deepen your understanding of stakeholder needs and your broader domain. You are skilled at negotiating conflicting priorities and spotting connections where others may not see them, often well ahead of time.
You are proactive, results-oriented, and thrive in ambiguity. You simplify complex problems and prioritize adaptability, asking the right questions to arrive at better solutions with broader business priorities in mind. As a leader, you prepare your team for the unexpected, seeing opportunity and unlocking potential exposed by our dynamic business landscape.

The Must-Haves
• Proven experience leading and scaling a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary design team that has conceptualized and delivered globally successful, impactful creative solutions.
• Proven experience developing and influencing world-class, omni-channel creative experiences, inclusive of: Complex digital products and features in collaboration with engineering and product partners, Marketing & communications , Physical experiences and , Cohesive end-to-end brand expression.
• Experience creating and maintaining alignment across a fast-moving organization with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
• Expertise in design thinking, user-centered design, design sprints, user empathy
• Success in leading effective change management
• Ability to communicate the value of design and creative strategy to stakeholders at all levels, building support for the team and key initiatives
• Fostering accountability and trust within your team and with partners
• Experience mentoring and growing senior designers and contributing to the design community
• Proven track record of driving alignment and adoption of successful cross-organizational initiatives
• Willingness to fail and learn
• Passion for entertainment and storytelling
• Success aligning priorities with broader mission/vision of team

Compensation Range:
Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $270,000 - $700,000
