The Role

Netflix's Labor Relations team is seeking a Coordinator/Paralegal who will provide support to the team on ex-UCAN: productions, union agreements/relationships and similar issues. The successful candidate will have prior experience in a business affairs, legal, production, and/or labor relations setting, and will be self-motivated, quick-thinking, flexible, and able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and an unwavering attention to detail. This is a demanding and fast-paced role that requires curiosity and significant initiative, as well as interest in learning new territories. They will report to Senior Counsel, Labor Relations- EMEA, APAC and Dubbing/Localization EMEA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Research, update and maintain the international union guidance, hiring guidelines and other ex-UCAN learnings.
• Provide support on ex-US productions with US talent and/or where existing EU (or other territory) collective bargaining agreements control, including answering guild questions such as scale, pension and the like.
• Support the Local Language Originals (ex-UCAN) team on projects, priorities, and production schedules.
• Assist with preparation for ex-US collective bargaining negotiations.
• Assist in updating status charts, ex-US agreements and maintain contact lists.
• Tracking internal and external communications on key labor issues.
• Assist in the preparation of presentation materials for internal educational purposes
• Manage templates, forms and agreements across countries/regions, as well as amendments and related updates.
• Assist in initial reviews/drafting of templates and other agreements (for dubbing and ATL/BTL).
• Create and manage workflows for different work with various cross-functional partners.
• Ensure Weekly Worklists, Deal Memos (for US talent on LLO productions), applicable Equity documents and other labor documents are uploaded into the appropriate folders by the applicable production personnel. Maintain and organize all such files per production, country and territory.
• Research, compile, and prepare data for use in ex-UCAN audits, grievance hearings, arbitration proceedings, labor/management initiatives and collective bargaining negotiations.
• Assist in compiling data & documentation, report reviewing, and responses to industry payroll, pension and health plan audits.
• Manage EMEA localization (dubbing) labor relations matters, including but not limited to, forms and templates associated with rights management and remuneration, communications with vendor partners on labor updates, and internal tracking of activity and updates.
• Handle and coordinate signatures (both externally and internally) and ensure signed agreements are uploaded into digital document tracking system and shared appropriately with other departments.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years of related work experience required;
• Demonstrated good judgment and strong critical thinking skills;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to work proactively, independently and reliably under tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment;
• Comfortable with fluidity and iteration, and open to change and new ideas;
• Interest in working in ex-US territories and ability to dive into new areas without much existing precedent;
• High level of organization, detail orientation and ability to time-manage across multiple deadlines;
• Willingness to tackle matters outside area of expertise.
