Job Description
The RoleThe Coordinator, Content Operations, Italy, plays a key role in improving the operational efficiency of Netflix Italy's content team. This enables executives to focus more on achieving creative excellence across Series, Films, Nonfiction, and Licensing titles.
This is a high-impact role that acts as an operational bridge between the creative team and cross-functional internal partners. The ideal candidate brings top-tier organizational skills and a knack for creating clarity in complex workflows. While not a creative position, editorial competence is highly valued, as it contributes to better-informed decision-making and alignment with content needs.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)
Submissions:
• Collect all projects submitted to the Content Team and ensure they are accurately entered into the relevant tools.
• Monitor response timelines, making sure replies are provided in a timely manner, and keep a record of all responses sent.
Title & Workflow Coordination
• Support titles from development through launch, including the coordination of internal tool updates and maintenance of trackers.
• Monitor key milestones and highlight potential risks or issues to the VP of Content.
• Ensure timely communication of timeline changes across relevant teams.
Workflow Optimization
• Support implementation of streamlined workflows across the content team.
• Drive effective use of internal tools and project trackers.
• Manage clip and materials requests and prepare decks and presentations.
Facilitating Cross-Functional Communication:
• Given the scope across the whole slate, the Coordinator of Content Operations can help solve queries and facilitate the flow of information between the content team and other departments (BALA, Production, Marketing, Publicity, CPS&O, etc).
• This includes but is not limited to, tracking development timelines, assisting with managing contract documentation, coordinating set visits, overseeing title clearances, and facilitating internal communications around scheduling and launch updates.
Team Integration & Workflow Consistency:
• Serve as a unifying operational touchpoint across the Series, Films, Nonfiction, and Licensing teams.
• Promote consistent communication and knowledge sharing within the content department.
• Establish and support homogenous workflows to help the team operate more effectively and autonomously.
The ideal candidate has:
• Proven Experience in the Media Industry: A solid background in content production or media operations, with a deep understanding of production timelines, workflows, and industry dynamics.
• Operational Excellence: Demonstrated ability to build and manage efficient workflows, track multiple moving parts, and drive clarity and structure across complex projects.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Skilled at working across diverse teams, departments, and stakeholder levels-ensuring seamless communication, problem-solving, and knowledge-sharing.
• Strong Project Management Abilities: Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of juggling several projects and timelines simultaneously without losing sight of the big picture.
• Editorial Sensibility: While the role is not creative, an editorial mindset is a strong plus-supporting better context, judgment, and alignment with content teams.
• Tool Fluency: Experience working with project management and content tracking tools is an advantage. Google Suite and Airtable are preferred, and mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is a must.
