The Role
We're looking for a motivated Business Immigration Paralegal to join the Minors, Immigration, and Diligence (MInD) team within the Studio Affairs legal team. The MInD team is a global function that supports important aspects of Netflix's business, historically focused on Netflix original content needs .
Our team sets and implements practices across Netflix to be thoughtful, innovative, and consistent with respect to global immigration requirements. We are now expanding to support immigration needs across the Netflix corporate employee population as well, so this is an exciting opportunity to get in at the ground level of a new team to create new workflows, templates, and operating models. This role will be a part of a newly formed Business Visa team focused on visa support across both Netflix production and corporate immigration needs and is based in Los Angeles.
Responsibilities
• Provide holistic case support across a variety of jurisdictions, including the US and Canada, and other global destinations as needed;
• Under the supervision of MInD attorneys, prepare case materials and file petitions and applications with USCIS and DOS, and liaise with outside counsel and external vendors when appropriate;
• Draft additional immigration and travel documents as needed, such as expedite requests and business travel letters;
• Partner with internal partners and Netflix employees through the entire immigration process to ensure a seamless employee experience;
• Work closely with the MInD team and internal partners to build out and refine immigration workflows and systems;
• In-house case management tracking, including communicating deadlines, expiration dates and updates to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required
• 5+ years of work experience in Immigration Law. Business/Employment Immigration experience required
• Knowledge and proficiency in preparing immigration forms and filings, such as Forms DS-160, DS-260, I-129, I-140, I-485, I-765, I-131
• Exemplary track record demonstrating a collaborative approach, effective communication and excellent legal/business judgment
• Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail
• Prior experience with case management systems and developing templates and workflows
• Familiarity or demonstrated interest in working with immigration schemes outside of the US a plus
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $70,000 - $350,000.
