Job Description
The Role
Our Netflix Technology (N-Tech) team has the mission of optimizing the productivity of Netflix employees by supporting their technology needs., The AV Events team's goal is to create memorable experiences that inform, inspire and excite employees. As we grow, so does the number of high-profile events we host and event spaces we support, so we're looking for an experienced AV Events Engineer to join our UCAN AV Events team based in Los Angeles.

You'll serve as the responsible party for all event production video, audio, lighting, and communications systems before, and during events. These events take place, offsite in external venues and/or onsite in Netflix event production spaces. The role will function as a Technical Producer or Production Manager, and be the primary point of communication for all technical designs, deliverables, questions or concerns. Working with both regional and global teams, you will provide hands-on AV technical expertise for events, audio and multi-camera broadcast productions.

This position requires flexible hours as support may take place after normal business hours or on the weekend.

Responsibilities:
• Technical setup, configuration, and support for internal & external event productions.
• Conduct equipment maintenance, perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintaining all technical equipment in the event space(s).
• Ability to learn and implement new technologies, assuring successful outcomes.
• Monitor, analyze, and solve issues regarding video, cameras, digital switchers, digital routers, digital video servers, character generators, automation, and routing.
• Assist with AV research and development project initiatives in partnership with other team members
• Assist with keeping user-facing technical documentation up to date.
• Ensure proper communication is maintained with internal and external partner groups.
• Create and manage engineering documentation.
• Able to step into a crewed/operator position as needed
• Responsible for stakeholder management and pre-production needs for events.
• Crewing (AV resources) for events with FTE, contractor or vendor resources
• Ownership of Netflix's onsite event production spaces' technology support
• Oversight of AV budget as pertaining to Event costs

Recommended Experience:
• Experience working as a department lead (audio, lighting, video, production management) on broadcasts and live event productions requiring detailed cue to cue AV production management
• Experience working with research and development to help provide globally scalable solutions for hybrid event support
• Experience working with vendors, integrators, and design teams for the commissioning and maintenance of broadcast event spaces
• Ability to work within design / project budgets throughout lifecycle of projects or for routine maintenance and escalation
• Work with other team members to help mentor / teach new skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse range of people and job functions.
• Professionalism and ability to be helpful and maintain composure under pressure.
• Ability to work well in a team environment, including talent, producers and directors, under strict time deadlines.
• Live Event Technical /crew support acting in A1, V1, Lighting Designer, Graphics/Playback Operator, etc
• Experience / capable of providing ''heads & tails'' post-editing for VOD deliverables
• Proficiency working with Mac OS, Windows, Chromebooks, and GSuite for Business
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $100,000- $700,000.

Salary Details
Salary Range: $100,000 to $700,000 Per Year ($ USD)
