Responsibilities
SENIOR PUBLICIST

Primary Responsibilities
• Work in tandem with the Universal Publicity team, responsible for coordinating and implementing campaigns and assets for Focus Features' international releases.
• Manage the international trailer launch and publicity activity.
• Work closely with Universal and Focus colleagues and territory publicity teams to ensure the strategic direction for each release is successfully implemented.
• Main contact for all international junkets/press days.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with international press and territory teams.
• Manage press interview schedules for all international junkets/press days, film festivals and tours including creating talent grids to take into consideration the strategic imperatives, talent work hours, priority territories and growth markets for each release.
• Liaise with talent reps day to day on all international needs.
• Produce timely and accurate reports and presentations on international publicity activities.
• Work with the team junior publicist on all COVID req, finance, travel glam and logistics.

Press Events
Long Lead / Touring / Film Festivals / Junkets
• Oversee and manage nomination calls for international press junkets, long lead days, set visits etc.
• Manage international festival requests and approvals with SVP and VP.
• Liaise with Publicity teams and Creative on junket assets and materials, photo backdrops etc.
• Talent handle at premieres, tours, festivals and press days.
• Liaise with talent reps day to day on all international needs.
• Travel on international tours when required as a studio representative for filmmakers/talent/executives.
• Connect and compile reports on phone interviews.
• Work with the team SVP and VP Publicity to seek out new and different approaches and ideas to bring a fresh perspective to each release. Ensure that recommended ideas are in line with the overall strategy.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years experience in the entertainment industry, ideally in marketing or publicity
• Working knowledge of Microsoft-based software: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
