Position: Senior HR Manager EMEA & APAC (Universal Products & Experiences Group)
Reports to: VP, HR
Location: London based (CSG)
MATERNITY COVER – 10 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT
ROLE
With a new EMEA business leader and a 2025 slate any consumer products team would dream of, we're excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a talented HR leader to join the Universal Products & Experiences (UP&E) team in London! UP&E is part of the Universal Destinations & Experiences division of NBCU whose mission is to ignite the thrill of being fully alive!
This interim position will provide HR leadership, advice, coaching and guidance to the UK Consumer Products employees as well as oversee Consumer Products related HR activities across the EMEA & APAC regions, partnering with in-country HR teams to deliver a first-class HR service that proactively engages teams on all people related activities.
Reporting into the VP, HR-EMEA with a dotted line to the global US-based SVP, HR for UP&E, this leader will drive HR processes that embed UP&E and company policies and practices ensuring we are THE employer of choice for Consumer Products talent. We'll look to this professional to provide expert advice, proactive solutions, and strong partnership on all aspects of employment and freelance engagements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Partner Responsibilities
• Provide daily HR leadership support to all UK Consumer Products employees including employee relations, compensation, talent acquisition, performance management, ad hoc reporting and compliance with HR policies and procedures
• Create and execute HR strategies designed to enhance the employee experience
• Be the main interface/escalation point of contact for country HR teams across the EMEA and APAC regions for communicating the people strategy and all people matters
• Lead on ad hoc HR projects across the EMEA and APAC regions as required
• Create an environment of positive employee relations by respecting confidentiality, establishing trust and credibility, being seen by employees as an approachable and fair subject matter expert, and balancing business needs with employee needs
• Lead on ensuring compliance to our Respect in the Workplace practice & policy
• Establish best practices for Hybrid working, supporting managers and staff
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging
• Partner with EMEA UP&E champions and together lead DEI EMEA efforts
• Contribute to NBCU DEI efforts where possible either by collaborating with ERG's or by partnering with other business DEI champions
• Ensure that APAC HR teams understand the group's DEI strategy and partner with local business teams to support their DEI efforts
• Represent EMEA & APAC with UP&E's Global DEIB Council that is launching its next chapter, set to impact our employees, our communities, and our business partners.
Learning & Development
• Provide coaching to employees, managers, and leaders, offering feedback and advice on issues in a proactive and compassionate manner
• Be a brand ambassador for developmental offerings and ensure you and your stakeholders are fully aware of the opportunities and the overall curriculum of the Talent Lab
• Identify gaps and lead on development programmes
• Identify opportunities for future talent and support the business in planning their development
Leadership
• Day to day shared management and development of an HR Coordinator
• Provide coaching and development to direct report and people managers with a focus on supporting career development
• Lead and deliver on HR projects which enhance the engagement experience for all employees
• Be passionate about driving key HR initiatives forward for all client groups
• Partner with leaders who have reports across the EMEA and APAC regions, offering proactive and strategic support to managers and local HR teams
• Oversee all HR processes for EMEA and APAC (compensation planning, promotions, Talent Lab nominations)
Qualifications
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Experience building trusted relationships with clients
• Strong interpersonal/organisational & critical thinking skills
• Able to persuade and influence in conflict situations, providing leadership and direction
• Experience in managing HR within a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Experience in a global organization navigating relationships in various countries
• Experience in leading DEIB and embedding into employee experience cycle
• Strong employment law knowledge and experience of managing complex cases
• Experience in creating and executing HR strategies along with tactical priorities
• Able work independently in a fast-paced creative environment and meet tight deadlines
• Able to engage, influence and develop strong relationships
• Able to provide strategic support in a matrixed organisation
• Able to communicate across all levels and flex your style in various scenarios
• Experience managing and developing direct reports
