Job Description

NBCU Ad Sales Center of Excellence (CoE) is looking for a Director who will lead our transformation projects as well our industry and NBCU product-specific training. The CoE team partners directly with the sales leadership team as a trusted advisor, focused on strategic planning, sales optimization, and business operational support.

You will collaborate with many cross-functional teams such as finance, HR, marketing, operations, and others. This is a high-impact role, with constantly evolving priorities and demands. You will think strategically, arrive at a focused execution plan, and lead the plan to fruition. Example of projects can range from the very strategic to the very operational and focus on some of the many areas, such as Go-To-Market planning, budget/account alignment, data quality, business planning, market segmentation, sales pipeline, and business performance review.

The CoE provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive internal effectiveness and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

As a Director on the Center of Excellence, you will be responsible for increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of key decisions as directed by the SVP of Center of Excellence and Presidents of Sales.

Impact
• Orchestrate the design and implementation of all aspects of the Customer Channel plan under the annual sales strategy planning cycle. This includes account segmentation, resource allocation, territory assignment, etc.
• Evaluate and make recommendations for the Pitch to Pay process, build reports and dashboards to derive insights into the health of the business, identify areas of weakness, and present improvement recommendations to sales leadership
• Assist in troubleshooting of operational issues as they surface; propose changes to systems and processes to fix root causes
• Collaborate with multiple distinct functions across the division to identify best-in-class knowledge and develop new means for distribution across the division
• Work effectively with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and team members to develop training materials, visual toolkits, and eLearning modules
• Create executive-level presentations for leadership reviews

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
• 6+ years of professional experience, ideally in consulting or sales strategy/business operations roles
• Experience with quantitative analysis and financial modeling
• Significant working with executive stakeholders
• Demonstrated expertise in developing business strategies or managing cross-functional initiatives

Preferred Qualifications
• MBA or master's degree in business, finance, or strategy
• Ability to translate complex information into easily consumable insights
• Forward thinking with the ability to foster innovation and creativity, while also maintaining a focus on day-to-day deliverables and workload
• Self-starter and high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand
• Excellent communications and presentation skills

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary range: $115,000 - $175,000 (bonus and long-term incentive eligible)
