Job Description
MOTOWN RECORDS is looking for a talented and highly detail oriented Creative Operations Manager, who will sit in the newly formed creative organization, based out of Motown's Beverly Hills, CA office. The candidate will report to the Head of Content Strategy, and Head of Creative & Production, and be an integral member of the team.
This hire must have a passion for music and the creative arts, with strong project management and administrative skills to support the team, drive projects, and deliver assets under tight timelines. This is a full-time in-house position that will work hand-in-hand with the label stakeholders, artists, partners, and vendors, to deliver on all visual creative requests. This role will have broad coverage across all in house creative projects, inclusive of photo & video projects, social and digital projects, artwork and merchandise design development .
How you'll CREATE:
• Review new creative requests, understanding scope and deliverables, scheduling and leading department meetings, tracking project status, reviewing of individual team member tasks and upcoming deadlines
• Set up projects in project management tools, outlining milestones, and tracking project progress through to final delivery
• Distributing information to appropriate team members, ensuring departmental productivity goals are consistently met
• Work closely with art director and creative producers to manage revisions process with project managers, marketing + management teams according to project deadlines and distribute final approved assets
• Oversee project budgets, route invoices to finance team for processing, manage legal and BA clearance process, supply chain delivery and management of artwork archives
• Support creative team in creative ideation, pre and postproduction when necessary (scouting, shoot support, and occasional research)
• Support creative operations team with administrative tasks as needed such as business travel booking, scheduling, and expenses
Bring your VIBE:
• At least 3+ years working in a creative organization or in a production environment
• Must be well versed in video, photo, design, and audio workflows and terminology
• Must have exceptional communication skills and able to communicate creative ideas
• Needs to possess high level project management skills and be exceptionally process oriented
• Comfortable working in fast paced environment with constantly changing priorities
• Broad knowledge and passion for popular culture and music culture, specifically hip hop & R&B
• Technical skill set in editing or design deliverables: video editing, photography, design, live streaming, or copy writing a plus
• Organized, processes focused on tasks, time and file management, approval protocol, and quality control.
• Experience working in a record label environment
• Experience working on set on video productions
