Overview

Summary The Manager - Entertainment & Event Production serves as an integral member of the Entertainment and Marketing teams – specifically as it relates to game operations, staff management, ideation and concept development, and non-game events. The position will work hand-in-hand with the Executive Producer – Game Entertainment and Event Production and will also work closely with the marketing team and various departments across the organization. The position requires someone who is collaborative, creative, enthusiastic and has excellent communication and organizational skills.

Game Operations:
• Directly responsible for management and booking of all pre-game elements – National Anthem performances, ceremonial first pitches, special presentations, etc.
• Maintain organization-wide calendar of pre-game events and in-game experiential inventory
• Act as the Lead Stage Manager on gameday, ensuring all gameday elements are executed successfully
• Lead pregame production meetings with gameday staff
• Oversee gameday staff including Entertainment Coordinators, Game Crew and Brew Crew
• Create pregame run-of-show and PA script documents
• Assist in the development of in-game run-of-show documents
• Prepare and coordinate special gameday elements including theme nights, charity events and other special events

Management:
• Supervise 2 Entertainment Coordinators and approximately 75 Brew Crew staff members.
• Support Entertainment Coordinators with managing the following processes:
• Conducting Brew Crew auditions and managing the hiring process
• Scheduling Mascot appearances
• Managing the budget for wages, uniforms, supplies, etc.
• Assisting in scheduling staff for games and events
• Assisting in management of staff at games and events

Ideation and Concept Development:
• Assist in the ideation and development of in-game elements, features and promotions
• Continually monitor our production efforts to create more efficient and better processes
• Monitor both industry and culturally-relevant trends that could be used to improve and enhance our in-game presentation
• Lead new project efforts as assigned by the Executive Producer – Game Entertainment and Event Production

Non-Game Events:
• Assist in the coordination, preparation and presentation of non-game events, such as Brewers On Deck, community parades, block parties, summer festivals, etc.
• Work with appropriate departments (Marketing, Corporate Partnerships, Community Relations, etc.) to ensure proper communication

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and two to three years of experience in event presentation/game operations/live events. Individual must have a proven track record in facilitating game operations and special events, as well as experience in managing staff.

Computer Skills

To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, which may include heat, cold and various forms of precipitation. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Work Hours

Regular business office hours are Monday-Friday 9 am - 5 pm, however, the ability to work long hours and some nights, weekends, and holidays will be required. This individual will be expected to work all Brewers home games.
