Overview

The Coordinator – Game Day Staffing and Tours is responsible for coordinating all payroll and scheduling for seasonal game day staff, including ushers, event services supervisors, and guest relations (greeters). This position will also supervise non-game day staff and events, including guest experience guides, public and private tours and applicable correspondence and payments. Additionally, this position provides administrative support for event services and game-related duties, as needed.

Other duties may be assigned
• Responsible for coordinating all payroll and scheduling for seasonal game day staff including ushers, event services supervisors, and guest relations (greeters) through coordination with the time management software program
• Ensure all cancellations and/or schedule changes are processed and tracked accurately in a timely manner
• Oversee the Ballpark Tour program, including the direct oversight of the guest experience guides, schedule and staff private tours, public tours, pregame tours, Bernie's slide, Selig Experience and manage correspondence and payments accordingly
• Oversee the Event Services Reward Recognition Program to provide staff with acknowledgement and incentives for exceptional service
• Assist with the hiring process of Event Services, Guest Experience Guides and Security employees and provide clerical support to Human Resources regarding the required new hire forms
• Serve as the liaison between Event Services and the Accounting/Payroll Department
• Develop and maintain a process of organizing correspondence and other records
• Oversee uniform and locker inventory and make additional orders as necessary

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises 10 – 20 tour and experience guides. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
One year certificate or degree from college or technical school; or 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Internet Explorer. Experience with Nowsta or other timekeeping payroll/accounting software preferred.
Other Skills and Abilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is critical.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Hours

Business hours are Monday – Friday 9am-5pm. Additional hours may be required on weekends, evenings, and holidays throughout the year, working home games and special events as needed.
