Job Description
We're collaborating with Disney and Lucasfilm Games on a story-driven open-world video game set in the beloved Star Wars galaxy. This is a lore we love and want to do justice with a game and story that bring both new and lifelong fans on an immersive and outstanding journey that will stay with them for years.
We're looking for a Character Artist to join our talented team! In this role, your primary focus will be hard surface modeling. You'll be working closely with the character lead and concept team.
We're offering a permanent position in Malmö, Sweden, with the flexibility to work partially from home (up to two days a week. Please apply using English, our company's primary language.
What you'll do
• Working closely with the character lead and concept team to create models and textures for characters with primary focus on hard surface modeling such as droids, weapons, armor and gadgets and with secondary focus on organic modeling such as anatomy, clothing and hair.
• Collaborating with our shader tech art team to create and apply textures and materials with aesthetic appreciation on real world references and in-game lighting while staying true to the game's narrative
• Participating in the set up and maintenance of character production pipelines
• Participating in giving feedback to our external partners
• Working within the engine to preview, iterate, optimize and polish models to a quality bar and visual direction as set by the Art Director
• Collaborating with the animation tech team to help define modeling standards for rigging, deformation, and simulation within performance budgets, and other run-time requirements

Besides the above we're looking for someone aligned with our core values and the following skills and experience:
• A relevant portfolio of your artwork primarily on hard surface modeling and secondary focus on organic modeling for characters
• Experience working with game engines
• Proficient with industry-standard tools (e.g. Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter)
• Experience with Substance designer
• Ability to realize characters from concepts and Art Director briefs
