Job Description
THE JOB:

The Senior Analyst of the Strategy & Analytics team will sit at the intersection of data and disruption. This role builds reports and analyses that make an impact in supporting Touring and Concerts leadership. Critical data models are maintained weekly that track the touring pipeline and enable our team to make strategic decisions that impact the business. It is common to work on projects both individually and collaboratively within a team. This role is fluent in reporting, accustomed to a growing database, and with a proven ability to leverage data to solve problems.

Large spreadsheets and warehouses of data are more than just numbers on a screen to the Senior Analyst of the Strategy & Analytics team. Each data point has a unique story and a single number represents an artist, a show, a venue, or an individual's concert experience. The ideal candidate possesses an insatiable curiosity to learn about each data point, speak to its unique story, and transform it into meaningful insights.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO:
• Maintain and evolve the data model that tracks the concert pipeline on a weekly basis. This includes leveraging BI tools for reporting and analysis, collaborating with Promoters to clarify certain data points, and frequently recommending and executing solutions to automate processes.
• Query, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources and structures and carry out data cleansing and normalization tasks to ensure data integrity.
• Support US Concerts team with high-impact projects, reports, and analyses within a fast-paced environment
• Work with various departments across Live Nation to collaborate and uncover shared data and insights opportunities.
• Lead analytical thought, analysis, and outputs for the overall Concerts division strategy.
• Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of tour routing recommendations, concert performance, and business strategies.
• Build financial and statistical models, reports, and analyses to provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support business leaders in decision-making.
• Take ownership of projects from planning through execution and delivery, collaborating with partners to ensure deliverables align with business needs.
• Lead ad-hoc analyses to answer critical and time-sensitive business questions.
• Create presentations, visualizations, and dashboards
• Discern and articulate the distinction between educational concepts and theory, and their practical application and utilization in real-world scenarios.
• Our job descriptions evolve with our business need and priorities. In addition to the description above, your role may include additional projects and team support as needed.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING:
• Bachelor's degree with a focus in music industry, business, statistics, accounting, economics, finance, analytics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a role that interfaces with leadership preferred. Relevant analytical experience such as corporate business analysis is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience using BI, analytical, and visualization tools (SQL, SAP Business Objects, Tableau, etc.)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills - ability to distill complex data into actionable insights to a less technical audience, give work status updates, and advocate for (or against) a particular approach of design.
• Loves to solve puzzles and has the desire to understand every aspect of the business, and independently identify and pursue improvement opportunities.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work
• Ability to participate in a collaborative team environment and willing to work when necessary to help get overall team goals accomplished.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and effectively meet critical time-sensitive deadlines.
