Job Summary/Description:
The News Producer creates, coordinates, and executes newscasts on air and online. This position provides editorial and production direction to editors and field crews regarding content, coordination, and newscast execution.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Writes compelling stories and copy that engage viewers on air and online.
- Develops day-to-day on-air look of the newscast consistent with the station's news mission.
- Posts to the website and social media.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum two years experience producing in a TV news or similar online news environment.
- Must work well under the pressures of a fast-paced newsroom environment.
- Excellent team communication skills are essential.
- A college degree is preferred, but not required.
