Job Summary/Description:
FOX5, KVVU Las Vegas, is looking for an experienced bilingual (Spanish) Meteorologist. The successful candidate will have at least two years of forecasting and delivering accurate weather information to audiences on air and online. Must have significant experience using WSI weather software. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate the ability to report from the field in live weather events, and to write and deliver environmental stories to a broadcast and digital audience both in English and Spanish.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Accurate weather forecasting and severe weather coverage experience
- Reporting live from the field during weather events
- Conceiving, planning, and reporting stories on environmental and related issues
- Knowledge of using Augmented Reality in delivering compelling weathercasts is a significant plus
Qualifications/Requirements:
- The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience as a broadcast and digital meteorologist. No beginners.
