KUSA-TV, the TEGNA owned NBC affiliate in Denver, CO is looking for a Weekend Evening News Producer to bring urgency, context and passion to our 9 and 10pm newscasts. We're on the hunt for a news junkie, committed to delivering top-notch content to the audience, across platforms.

This producer has proven editorial judgement, the ability to make quick decisions when important news breaks, and lead the weekend team. The ideal candidate will be excited to showcase a variety of stories to create a balanced, engaging and informative show. A positive attitude, desire to collaborate and openness to feedback are must-haves.

Pay range: $25 - $30.00 per hour.

Responsibilities:
• Line produce 30-minute and hour-long newscasts Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights
• Fill in or produce content for shows, as assigned, two nights per week
• Be a leader in the newsroom
• Demonstrate strong news judgement and understand the basics of journalism
• React to breaking news and manage the newscast's timing
• Produce unique content for multi-platforms, including broadcast and digital

Job Requirements:

Requirements:
• College degree in journalism, communications or something similar
• 2+ years full-time newscast producing experience
• Travel: Rarely: less than 10%
• Work Environment Set: Office: normally performed in a typical interior/office environment
• Physical Demands Set: Sedentary work: Involves sitting most of the time; walking, lifting, bending, standing, etc.
