The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent storytelling and writing skills, with a body of work that reflects an ability to regularly create relevant, impactful stories.

In short, we are seeking a seasoned broadcast professional who's also a contemporary content creator-a serious television journalist who's also a digital native. To be considered, you'll need to show evidence of both.

As a KOMO anchor, you are expected to be a leader-by-example and a great newsroom citizen. We are very serious about holding our anchors to the highest journalistic standards.

Essential Duties and Requirements include the following:
• Willing and able to own a content franchise, topic or beat
• Must be a team leader who works well with others
• Must be a self-starter who can generate impactful story ideas
• Self-sufficient as a content creator and collaborator on all platforms
• Willing to regularly produce enterprise stories for all platforms
• Effective at conducting virtual interviews and using social/digital tools
• A digital native who posts content on assigned platforms daily
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This is not a position for beginners. Five to seven years anchoring experience in a mid-sized to upper-ranked market is required.
