Assistant - Strength and Conditioning Coach (Arizona)Job Title: Assistant - Strength and Conditioning Coach (Arizona)
Job Summary: The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach is accountable for maintaining a performance culture and assisting in the execution of all aspects of the Royals strength and conditioning programs. This includes addressing and optimizing movement, coordination, strength, power, speed, athleticism, and work capacity for the assigned Royals' affiliate.
Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
• Delivery and documentation of all aspects of strength & conditioning programs
• Collaborate and assist with staff from various departments (nutrition, medical, performance science, behavioral science, R&D) to drive industry-leading multidisciplinary support to players and coaches
• Data collection and reporting of all aspects of athlete monitoring to Strength & Conditioning Coordinator
• Manage equipment and facilities in Arizona and at assigned affiliate
• Travel with assigned team to execute performance goals
Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred
• NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist
• CPR/AED/First Aid
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to use these effectively in serving the needs of diverse populations
• 2 years of relevant strength and conditioning experience (full time, part time, graduate assistant, etc.)
• Relevant baseball experience preferred
• Spanish language competency strongly preferred
Position Details:
• Locations: Arizona (April – October 31st)
• Category: Seasonal
• Compensation: Hourly wage per state of Arizona
• Housing: Provided

• Meals: provided when onsite, at least 2/day

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift items weighing as much as 100 pounds
• Must be able to work in a standing position for majority of workday
• Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer keyboard and telephone
• Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
• Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, fields, concourse, etc.
• Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by practice and game scheduling
